OnePlus Nord 5 Nears Launch, Price and Specs Leaked

Following the recent rollout of the OnePlus 13s in India, OnePlus is now reportedly preparing to launch its next mid-tier smartphone — the Nord 5 — across global markets. Positioned as a performance-driven option in the midrange category, the Nord 5 is expected to challenge segment leaders with upgraded internals and competitive pricing.
While OnePlus has not yet made an official announcement, industry insiders suggest the OnePlus Nord 5 and Nord CE 5 could debut on July 8. These models are part of the brand’s strategy to cater to a growing demand for high-performance smartphones at accessible prices.
The OnePlus Nord 5 may be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC — a streamlined version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 — offering improved energy efficiency and multitasking capabilities. The device is also likely to be bundled with up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM, setting it up as a promising option for mobile gamers and power users.
Display specifications include a 6.77-inch flat OLED panel with a resolution of 1.5K and a 120Hz refresh rate. Battery life could see an upgrade with a 6,700mAh cell, backed by 100W fast charging. If confirmed, the Nord 5 would be one of the few in its price segment offering such rapid power delivery.
Contrary to earlier reports linking the device to a Snapdragon chip, some leaks suggest the phone may ship with MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400e processor, a slightly downscaled version of the flagship Dimensity 9400. This variation could depend on region-specific variants.
Camera hardware is expected to include a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, alongside an 8MP ultra-wide lens on the rear. For selfies and video calls, a 16MP front-facing camera is likely. The Nord 5 is also anticipated to boot Android 15 out of the box, offering users the latest software experience.
Market analysts estimate the OnePlus Nord 5 will be priced around Rs 30,000 in India. However, final pricing and configuration details will only be known after official confirmation from the company.
